While there aren’t many places in Tohickon that are considered “hidden” there are plenty of special spaces in our school. To help find these places we turned to our favorite librarian, Mrs. Fox. When asked, she gave me three of her favorite spots that she felt were the most scenic.
Her first spot was on the 3rd floor, overlooking Hellerick’s Farm. It has a truly amazing view. Another spot on the third floor was facing the fields and hills in Tohickon’s very own backyard. Mrs. Fox says, “It’s a great place to see the sunrise and there are often a group of turkey vultures up in that field or flying over it”.
Her last spot was one that students pass regularly. The two staircases that lead to the back of the auditorium is the perfect place to keep an eye on your surroundings. With the ability to watch the people below and look up at the skylight windows above, there is always something interesting to see. Plus, the windows usually leave the stairs pretty warm.
Mrs. Fox did give me a fourth area she believes most students don’t know about. “The little room behind the library office where the poster printer and laminator are and the stacks in the room behind Mr. Harvey’s tech office”. I myself didn’t even find out about this place until a couple of weeks ago.
Tohickon has many fun and interesting spots to offer its students. They just need to know where to look.
