How do I finish all this homework?
A big pile of homework looks ang feels overwhelming. One of the best methods to complete it all is to do it in groups. First do the homework that is due tomorrow an example would be a worksheet for first period. Then do your homework for each class you have homework in after that. Do the homework that is not due the next day, last in case you don’t finish it all. If you don’t finish all the homework due tomorrow, do it during I&E or resource. Do not stay up late finishing it, it is important to get 8 to 10 hours of sleep every night to feel well rested.
How do I finish this big summative project?
Summative should always be treated like a big deal because they are. When you have a summative project, never put it off until it gets close to the due date. Start by sectioning out your time when you get the due date. Read the directions to see how much work you need to do and figure out how long it will take you. Then work on it chunk by chunk until it is completed. That way you won’t be scrambling to finish it the night before.

How do I understand this new math stuff?!?
Math can be very tricky. One thing that I find works is going on to YouTube and searching for a video that explains it. Khan Academy is a very good channel that explains the why and how of the things we do in math class. Say you were graphing equations. Khan will explain it thoroughly and go through it step by step.
How do I study for ELA?
ELA is one of the harder subjects to study for. If you have an open book test, try highlighting main ideas and writing definitions next to tricky words. If it is not open book, try reading summaries which will help you memorize key details, make flash cards for hard words and vocabulary. Quizlet is a great website for flash card making, and if the text is online, you can copy paste definitions which makes it a lot easier.
