Teachers love new vocabulary without a doubt, but sometimes it can be overwhelming to learn all of it. A good strategy is to sort the words into three groups. The first group has all the words you have never heard of or are very uncomfortable defining. Next the second group is the words you can give a somewhat accurate definition of. The final group includes all the words you know and can give a confident definition of.
